Remote Support

Hybrid Storage Diagram

StorageBlox Cloud Servers are a cost effective way to make sure your files are always securely available anywhere.

Our Hybrid Storage Systems are an ideal way to provide your users fully redundant, always on file storage. Whether you need to provide access to remote offices and teleworkers or if you want the knowledge that your data is backed-up in real-time to a secure location, Hybrid storage is the answer.

Local Cloud Storage Module

StorageBlox Hybrid systems start with a Local Cloud Storage array. This is a custom SAN device installed in your local network. We start by designing you a SAN that fits your needs and growth plans. The Local Cloud can be made up of one or more storage nodes, each with a wide variety of customization options:

Drives and Storage
  • Enterprise Hard Drives
  • Enterprise Solid State Drives
  • Flash Accelerators
  • Redundant Drive Controllers
  • RAID Levels 0,1,5,6,10,50,60, ZFS
System Components
  • 12, 24, 48, 60 Storage Bays
  • Rackmount or Tower
  • Redundant Power Supplies
  • Internal Health Monitoring
  • SAS Multipliers
Storage Network
  • 1GB/10GB/40GB iSCSI
  • Fiber Channel
  • Infiniband
  • Multipath I/O

In some configurations (and with properly configured server hardware) these Local Storage nodes can provide over 140000 IOPS to support demanding databases and virtualized environments.

Cloud Server Module

The Cloud Server Module is a clone (either direct or virtual) of your Local Storage node(s). This module is located in a secure data center and operates as a private cloud. Access permissions to the data on your Cloud Server Module is identical to your Local Storage node and the data is synchronized at the block level on a continuous basis. So if your users can't reach the Local Storage nodes, they can work off the Cloud Server Module exactly as if they were in the office. These can be configured as always-on systems, providing access to users anywhere and anytime, or as hot replication systems that only become accessible to users if your Local Storage becomes unavailable. If your environment calls for a hot replication module, they can also be coupled with out hot server farm to provide full disaster recoverability - if your primary facility is totally offline our hot servers spin up a virtual clone of your environment.
